RMTheme has an option to open default gallery grid thumb in lightbox gallery using magnific popup script. see example below:
To make this work you need to enable script from theme options here
=> themes.php?page=rmtheme_settings
=> Miscellaneous
=> Magnific Popup Script and Enable
